See the Unseen!

The science 8 students have tried their hands at microscopy lately.  The students have had the challenge of creating wet mount slides for both plant and animal cells.  Stains were used to reveal some of the inner organelle structure with great success.  The next challenge was to collect some aquatic samples and try to identify some unicellular organisms from the Red Deer River.  There was less success with this task... perhaps more time is needed for growth of these populations and a trip later in the spring will yeild more results.
